Blue Linked 'in progress'
Blue Linked is initiator of the Experimental fish fry hatchery, located in Utrecht (the Netherlands). The aim of the project is to test the feasibility of fish fry culture using innovative and sustainable techniques. Presently we are searching for business partners and financial support in order to make the next steps.
Since June 2015 we are coordinator in fish culture for the project 'Sharks and rays back in the North Sea' by the World Wildlife Fund and other parties. The culture activities for this project are also carried out in our hatchery in Utrecht.
Using our expertise in the area of coral reef rehabilitation by sexual reproduction techniques, we played a key role in the setup of the Coral Rehabilitation Initiative in Australia (2012-2014), under the assignment of Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors.
As experts in the husbandry and culture of corals, we were involved in the Coral Farm project of the Dutch company EcoDeco. The goal of our collaboration was to develop an innovative method for the commercial hatchery of corals. In 2012 the project was completed successfully.
